Meetings of the Acoustical Society of America in 2023

The Society holds two meetings each year, most of which are held at various locations in the USA and Canada. At each meeting, invited and contributed papers and poster presentations usually number between 800 and 1100, and they reflect the diversity and interests of the membership. Tutorials, lectures, technical and standards committee meetings, and visits to university, government, and industrial laboratories are regular features, along with receptions and a variety of social programs. These meetings offer opportunities for students and young researchers as well as experienced acousticians to share information. Meetings in 2023 are:

12th Mediterranean Combustion Symposium

Noise and Vibration Emerging Methods (NOVEM 2023)

This is the first session of a yearly-returning one-week, post-graduate Ph.D. level, acoustic school which will be held at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) organized by the Building Acoustics group of the TU/e. The themes of the school will change every two years and each year there will be two parallel schools during the same week. The themes of the 2022 edition are:

This webinar series is a joint initiative between IIT Madras, India and Potsdam Institute for Climate Research (PIK), Germany and aims to disseminate the state-of-the-art in complex systems theory. It brings together experts from a wide variety of fields such as physics, ecology, climate science, engineering, who have bridged scientific disciplines and led the way in developing and applying aspects of complex systems theory to real-life problems. ISMA/ISAAC 2021 Training Courses

The Noise and Vibration research group of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the KU Leuven is running training courses on "Modal Analysis" (ISMA45) and on "Advanced Techniques in Applied and Numerical Acoustics" (ISAAC32). The ISMA 45 is an intensive training course on modal testing with emphasis on data-acquisition and multi-channel modal testing. The ISAAC32 is set up as an extended overview of recent techniques in applied and numerical acoustics with an emphasis on background principles and on the practical use of the techniques.

Symposium on Thermoacoustics in Combustion: Industry meets Academia

Meetings of the Acoustical Society of America in 2021

The Society holds two meetings each year, most of which are held at various locations in the USA and Canada. At each meeting, invited and contributed papers and poster presentations usually number between 800 and 1100, and they reflect the diversity and interests of the membership. Tutorials, lectures, technical and standards committee meetings, and visits to university, government, and industrial laboratories are regular features, along with receptions and a variety of social programs. These meetings offer opportunities for students and young researchers as well as experienced acousticians to share information. Meetings in 2021 are:

BNAM is the biennial Baltic-Nordic Acoustics Meeting, organised by one of the national member societies of the Nordic Acoustics Association. 2nd Clean Sky2 Workshop on Advanced Low NOx and HydrogenCombustion Technologies
Virtual Event, hosted by Florence University, Italy, 29 - 30 April 2021

This FREE event will give a dissemination opportunity to many relevant research projects funded by the Clean Sky 2 programme and by H2020 framework (either closed or ongoing), but it will also bring together the combustion experts around Europe to discuss the relevant items to set-up a roadmap for future combustion technologyin general for the next decade(s).

10th European Combustion Meeting
