Autumn School Series in Acoustics (ASSA2021)

This is the first session of a yearly-returning one-week, post-graduate Ph.D. level, acoustic school which will be held at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) organized by the Building Acoustics group of the TU/e. ERCOFTAG Best Practice Guidance Course on CFD for Dispersed Multi-Phase Flows (with problem shooting session)

9th Congress of the Alps Adria Acoustics Association (AAAA 2021)

Western Pacific Conference on Acoustics (WESPAC X)

ISMA/ISAAC 2021 Training Courses
KU Leuven, Belgium, 16 – 17 September 2021

The Noise and Vibration research group of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the KU Leuven is running training courses on "Modal Analysis" (ISMA45) and on "Advanced Techniques in Applied and Numerical Acoustics" (ISAAC32). The ISMA 45 is an intensive training course on modal testing with emphasis on data-acquisition and multi-channel modal testing. The ISAAC32 is set up as an extended overview of recent techniques in applied and numerical acoustics with an emphasis on background principles and on the practical use of the techniques.

Symposium on Thermoacoustics in Combustion: Industry meets Academia
Virtual Event, 6 – 10 September 2021

This symposium would have taken place at the Garching Campus of the Technical University Munich, but will now be a virtual event. There will be themed sessions on physical mechanisms, transverse modes, flame response, limit cycles, stability analysis, etc; each session will start with an expert invited lecture, followed by contributed talks. Selected papers presented at the symposium will be published in a special issue of the International Journal of Spray and Combustion Dynamics after peer review.

Webinar Series on Critical Transitions on Complex Systems

This webinar series is a joint initiative between IIT Madras, India and Potsdam Institute for Climate Research (PIK), Germany and aims to disseminate the state-of-the-art in complex systems theory. It brings together experts from a wide variety of fields such as physics, ecology, climate science, engineering, who have bridged scientific disciplines and led the way in developing and applying aspects of complex systems theory to real-life problems.
