KTH Stockholm, Sweden, is the largest and oldest technical university in Sweden. The Natural Sciences and all branches of Engineering are represented as disciplines. KTH has a vibrant international research community with nearly 2000 active research students. The scientists in charge are based in the Department of Aeronautical and Vehicle Engineering (School of Engineering Sciences), which has several research groups/centres. The ones relevant to POLKA are:
Marcus Wallenberg Laboratory for Sound and Vibration Research (MWL). The largest university centre for sound and vibration research in Scandinavia, with 5 full-time professors and a total staff of around 30.
Centre for ECO2 Vehicle Design. An international synergetic consortium of industrial (Scania, Bombardier, Volvo, etc), academic (KTH) and societal partners. The centre's mission is initiate technical solutions to challenges related to sustainable vehicle design.
Competence Centre for Gas Exchange (CCGEx). Researching gas management in modern internal combustion engines for vehicles with the aim of making these more efficient, quieter and cleaner (in terms of emission).

KTH is supervising the ESRs for research task 1.1 and research task 5.3.
