TANGO Network – Royal Institute of Technology (KTH)

TANGO Network - KTH logoKTH Stockholm, Sweden, is the largest technical university in Sweden. Researchers at the Flow Acoustics Group within the Marcus Wallenberg Laboratory for Sound and Vibration Research (MWL), situated in the Department of Vehicle and Aeronautical Engineering, will be active in TANGO. MWL was founded in 1977 and is today a leading centre for technical acoustics in Europe, specialising in Flow Acoustics, Numerical Acoustics and Vibro-acoustics. Another group involved in TANGO at KTH is the Computational Aerodynamics and Aero-acoustics Group (CAA), which is renowned for its expertise in numerical simulations (DES, LNS, DNS). Both MWL and CAA are part of a strong industrial network, involving various KTH Competence Centres (the ECO2 Centre for Vehicle Design, the Linné FLOW Centre, and KTH-CICERO). MWL has been involved in several European Projects (NACRE, ECOQUEST, DUCAT, ENABLE, INMAR, NORMA, MID-MOD, PROBAND, RATIN, SEFA, SILENCER) and European Networks (CANTOR and FLOWAIRS).

TANGO Network projects

Task 1.1 – Experimental and analytical study of a cold-flow combustor with virtual flame

Task 1.2 – Numerical study of laminar dump combustor and its cold-flow equivalent
